Testimonials

"Jesse was absolutely wonderful, supportive, thorough and fun. She helped us to navigate a tricky birth and despite our plan changing at the last minute, we never felt steamrolled or ignored by our medical team, in part thanks to Jesse’s tireless advocacy."

-Dani and Charles, parents to Cary

"Learning this method has been so life changing already! I’m 23 now and have been on the pill since I was 16. It started to have more adverse affects on me as time went on— when I decided I wanted to quit the pill, and considered the copper IUD but came across all the terrible side effects — I realized I was no longer willing to sacrifice any aspect of my health for birth control. After lots of research I came across The Well and cycle tracking, as well as a list of their instructors. I signed up for my course and quit the pill on the same day, and began the course the following day. Jesse’s teaching was so thorough yet easy to understand, and I am so glad I decided to learn this method through an instructor rather than alone. Jesse is also so informative and easy and validating to talk to in one-on-one meetings. I’ve had an overall amazing and empowering experience learning this method and encourage anyone considering taking the leap and quitting their harmful forms of birth control to DO IT!"

-Olivia, 23, Cincinnati OH

""Jesse was absolutely incredible as our birth doula, and we happily recommend her for anyone looking for this type of support. She was very informative both in pregnancy and throughout the birth process. We met with her a couple of times leading up to the birth to discuss preferences and coping skills for labor. Any questions or concerns we had, she was very knowledgeable and helped ease our anxieties as first time parents! She was always attentive and super responsive, especially once labor began. It meant so much having her extra support in the delivery room. Thank you again Jesse for all of your support throughout this process. We look forward to our paths crossing again in the future!" "

-Anna & Andrew, parents to Amelia

"“Jesse helped me to feel confident in my ability to be in community with the sensations and transitions of my moons. After taking her Cycle Mapping 101 course, I feel an abundance of autonomy, empowerment, and joy. I'm fully informed and educated to flow with my cycle and prevent pregnancy.” "

Frequently asked questions

Perelel is my go-to brand for fertility, preconception, and pregnancy vitamins. They have high standards of testing and all supplements are formulated by OBGYNs and functional doctors in the field. They have options to support both male and female factors. Check them out!
Any person with menstruating potential can practice a Fertility Awareness Method. You do not have to be cycling regularly to begin your charting practice. In fact, a charting practice can be an extremely useful tool in many phases of the menstruating life cycle including:
-Around menarche; in preparation for the first menstruation and as a tool for body literacy and cycle management throughout puberty
-Coming off of hormonal contraception
-During fertile years & avoiding pregnancy
-In preparation and support for conception
-Postpartum in preparation for the return of cycles, including while breastfeeding
-Premenopausal in preparation for your final bleed
Yes! In fact, I often recommend people continue taking their hormonal contraception when they are first learning so that they remain protected from pregnancy until they thoroughly understand how to chart. Once you have a good understanding of the method, I will teach you how to chart your cycle during the transition period when your body is returning to natural cycles. This period of time is different for every body, but typically lasts somewhere between 3-6 months. If you are having penis-in-vagina intercourse during this time and avoiding pregnancy, you will need to use a barrier method and have a thoughtful plan prepared in case conception occurs. I can help you formulate your protection and preparation plan as we work together. This transition period can feel confusing and even scary for many due to the intense conditioning many of us have received our whole lives around avoiding pregnancy. I promise you, YOU CAN DO IT, and it's really not that bad :)
In my practice I aim to provide educational material that is anatomically and physiologically accurate while creating space for personal exploration in the realms of sexuality, body literacy, bodily autonomy and personal empowerment. While many spaces I hold will naturally consist of all cis-women, I aim to be a resource for all people who can benefit from a charting practice. As a heterosexual cis-gendered identified woman, I acknowledge the expertise I hold from this perspective as well as the blind spots. As an educator I see my role as providing accurate information to those who can benefit from it, as well as cultivating a diverse and vast network of other qualified educators with their various own identifies and perspectives. If I am not the educator for you, I am confident I can connect you with someone who you may resonate with more. Please don't hesitate to respectfully reach out with your questions and hesitations so we can find you a good match, if it ain't me!
I offer flexible payment plans, sliding scale, and occasionally work trade. I am committed to offering this information to as many people who can benefit from it. If you are concerned about your ability to work with me due to cost, please reach out to me directly and we can talk!
With so many wellness apps out there, it can be confusing which ones are actually useful and effective for charting your cycle. Period tracker apps are NOT the same as charting apps! For beginners, I typically recommend first learning on paper charts when getting into the rhythm of charting. However, there is one app that I recommend for charting your cycle.
Read Your Body is the only application on the market that is set up perfectly to chart your cycle using the Cycle Mapping method, AND they do not use or sell your private data!
By working with me, you can get three months free of charting on Read Your Body. Book a session to learn more!
With so many fancy thermometers on the market, it can be difficult to know which one is best for you! There are two thermometers that I personally recommend:
Manual BBT thermometer- this is the thermometer that I personally use and is great for you if you can manage taking your morning temperature on your own. It is affordable, waterproof, and has a back light if you are an early riser like me!  (paid link)
Tempdrop- this is a wearable thermometer that I recommend for postpartum/breastfeeding moms or anyone who is unable to take their BBT each morning manually. Tempdrop’s patented algorithm learns your unique nightly and monthly temperature patterns, filtering out disturbances for accurate results. It works differently than Oura Ring, Apple Watch, or other high-tech wearable thermometers in that it accounts for nightly disturbances. It also does not automatically sync to an app, therefore emitting no EMFs while you sleep. Purchase here for 15% off! (paid link)
